  NOTABLE FEATURES.   A hooked nose, a piercing gaze, black sclera and eyes like fire. Hardly ever without armor. A scar going down her left eye.

  PERSONALITY.   Aiyla is blunt and she is not warm. She knows this. She does her best to be more approachable, if only to practice being a better shop-keep for her father, but will often fall short. She is blunt, she is curt, but under this spiked exterior is someone just trying to understand the people around her. Even if she doesn't necessarily like them at first pass.She has a dry sense of humor, she doesn't really know how to smile. But she's trying. Just give her a bit to warm up.  BACKGROUND.   Aiyla was born in Ishgard before the calamity. Her most vivid memories of her childhood are of the grassy hills and cliffs that surrounded the area. They are of sunny and lazy afternoons spent helping her fathers both run a small clothing shop. Busy streets and playing with the other children, being told to never take off her hat around others. They are of fire and smoke, calling for both her father and her papa. Then of cramped carriages, and the harsher sun and heat of the Thanalan sands. An almost suffocating atmosphere of a home going through every stage of grief, and then finally both her and her papa picking up the pieces.Aiyla's remaining family consists of her, her half-brother, Emil, and her father, Claudius. Her Elezen relatives in Ishgard do not write, nor do they reach out. Aiyla had a brief stint in the legally illegal bloodsands in her early 20's, earning coin, a small bit of fame (infamy), and scars to boot. Times were tough, and she did what she could to help put coin in their pockets and food on the table. The Calamity put an end to her career in the Bloodsands. The panic of nearly losing everything again made her decide it was better to be alive and earning less than dead and earning no coin at all.Now she spends her time doing odd jobs here and there, working in her Father's fabric store, and only occasionally does she indulge in a fight in the Sands. She can't help herself. It's the only place she feels alive.
